The Dancer 2013

Welcome to the BBO

Huge congratulations to Zoe Pool who has been awarded the British Empire Medal for Services to Dance for Disabled Children in the Queen's Birthday Honours List this year. Zoe, who has severe hearing loss, teaches at her school in Market Drayton which opened in 1979. Many of her pupils have special needs and Zoe's lessons help to improve their strength and confidence as well as giving them the chance to enjoy dance.

Congratulations Zoe from all of us here at the BBO.

"Having been closely associated with the BBO for many years, I am continually impressed with the quality of its work and greatly admire the principles upon which it is based. I look forward to being involved in shaping the future of this inspiring organisation which plays such a pivotal role in the dance world, both in the UK and internationally."
