How YOU can make a difference
By Making a Single or Regular DonationWhether you are a supporter of our continuing work, have an interest in engaging young people through dance or simply have a passion for this incredible art form and want to see the BBO continue in its important work, we hope you might consider making a donation. Whatever the amount, ALL donations are so gratefully received and will have a significant impact on the lives of the people we teach and inspire.
Donations can be made to the BBO by cheque (payable to the BBO Development Fund), or over the phone using a credit or debit card. Please contact John Travis, Chief Executive on 020 8237 7013 or at john.travis@bbo.org.uk if you would like to discuss making a donation. Alternatively, please send your donation to the BBO, 39 Lonsdale Road, Barnes, London SW13 9JP.
We would be so grateful if you would also consider taking a minute of your time to complete a
Gift Aid Form to make your donation go 28% further, and at no extra cost to you. For example, through Gift Aid, a donation of £100 will increase to £128!
If you are unable to make a significant financial commitment to the BBO during your lifetime, setting up a bequest is an easy and efficient way to give to the organisation. If you are an existing donor, it can also be a valuable way to increase your support.
Legacies can be used to support all aspects of our work. Whether your legacy is large or small, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you will be helping the next generation of dancers and teachers achieve their goals, along with thousands of youngsters keen to make dance a part of their lives. Additionally, leaving a legacy to the BBO may have tax benefits for the donor's estate.
A bequest to the BBO can simply be set up by adding a codicil to a will at any time and the BBO can accept legacies in several different forms:- A Pecuniary Bequest is simply a specified sum of money to a named beneficiary
- A Residuary Bequest involves bequeathing all or part of your net estate - what remains after all other gifts and debts have been paid
- Transfer of Stocks and Shares - any shares bequeathed to the BBO will be free of capital gains tax
- A Specific Bequest - an item or object which you would be happy for us to use to raise funds
Donations in-kind can be extremely helpful to the organisation, and can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. The organisation is particularly grateful for any of the following: IT, music and dance-related equipment; books for our library; and your time through professional expertise or voluntary support.
Introducing additional supporters to the BBOIf you are enjoying being a part of our community, please do tell your friends, family and colleagues. This will help the BBO introduce its work to more potential supporters and friends.

BBO Dance Days
Dance Days is a landmark event in the BBO's calendar. Taught by world-renowned teachers, including BBO Patron Wayne Sleep, and accompanied by a team of first-class musicians, this national dance event is one not to be missed. Dance Days is held at Elmhurst School for Dance, Birmingham which provides students and teachers with the opportunity to work in 'state of the art' studios and stay in superb facilities at one of the finest vocational dance schools in the country.
Regional Sponsorship OpportunitiesThe BBO covers the whole of the UK, presenting exciting opportunities for you or your company to sponsor an event in your local area. If you are looking for a local partner from the dance world, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
If you are interested in sponsoring Dance Days or something regionally we would be very happy to tailor a bespoke sponsorship package.
For further details on any of the above, please contact John Travis, Chief Executive on 020 8237 7013 or via email at john.travis@bbo.org.uk.
